The Calvin College Herbarium was founded in 1948 and contains approximately 8,500 specimens, of which over 6,000 are imaged. In addition, Calvin houses vouchers documenting flora at the Calvin College Ecosystem Preserve, Flat Iron Lake and the Grand Rapids area.
